Subtitle Styles

Subtitle style is one of the few things you choose per video. Both options come from the same Whisper transcript — only the on-screen presentation differs.

Word Popup

• One word visible at a time, synced to the voiceover.
• Higher engagement on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Harder to skim while scrolling silently.

Sentence

• Full sentence visible for the duration of the spoken line.
• Better for accessibility and silent autoplay.
• More forgiving when the voiceover speed varies.

Default

We default to Word Popup for new accounts because short-form algorithms reward higher per-second engagement. You can change the default in Settings → Organization → Defaults.
